Big Tech Censors Strike Again

Think corporate suppression of speech isn’t a problem? Think again. Silicon Valley is just getting warmed up in its efforts to shape public opinion for the 2020 elections.

YouTube on Monday banned three more independent commentators: James Allsup, “The Iconoclast,” and “Way of the World.” Their crime? Outspoken defense of Western Civilization, which apparently now is considered “hate speech.” Taken together, the videos posted by these three commentators had been watched more than 100 million times.

The most prominent of the newly banished, James Allsup, had over 450,000 subscribers. Thanks to this latest move by YouTube, America’s de facto Ministry of Truth, nearly a half-million Americans now have less reason than ever to believe their First Amendment rights will be respected, or, by extension, any of their constitutional rights.

Left-wing media now pushing CANNIBALISM in America/

Is it time for people to start eating other people in order to solve the crisis of world hunger? Newsweek seems to think so, as the left-leaning media outlet recently published an outlandish piece pushing the notion that it might be time for human beings to rethink the “ultimate taboo” of cannibalism as the next step forward for “progress.”

Citing a paper published by psychologists Jared Piazza and Neil McLatchie from the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom, Newsweek makes the proposition that cannibalism might not be all that bad after all because some cultures throughout the world have been doing it since the beginning of time.

According to Piazza and McLatchie, most people find cannibalism disgusting and abhorrent not because it actually is, but because society has trained everyone to think this way. If it weren’t for the concept being “overridden by our feelings of repulsion and disgust,” more people would accept cannibalism as normal, these two contend, with the apparent approval of Newsweek.

Stopping short of actually promoting cannibalism, since they claim “there is no need to overcome our repulsion for the foreseeable future,” Piazza and McLatchie contend that humans should start trying to overcome their aversion to human flesh because one day they might have to eat human flesh in order to survive.

“Many people develop disgust for all kinds of meat, while morticians and surgeons quickly adapt to the initially difficult experience of handling dead bodies,” the two authors write in their paper. “Our ongoing research with butchers in England suggests that they easily adapt to working with animal parts that the average consumer finds quite disgusting.”

It’s unreasonable for people to not want to eat human flesh, claim academics

If you’re still too grossed out by the thought of consuming human flesh despite all of this, that revulsion isn’t a matter of reason, these two academics further claim. You’re actually being unreasonable, they insist, because some people throughout history have had to eat other people in order to survive.

In their paper, they propose the story of the famous 1972 Andes plane crash as one prominent example, citing the fact that survivors almost starved to death before “succumbing to reason” and “eating those who had already died.”

In other words, it’s completely reasonable for people to eat other people – and if you don’t agree, then you’re the problem.

This is the type of new-wave leftist thinking that’s apparently sweeping the editorial room at Newsweek, which gladly republished the manifesto on this topic, which first appeared in The Conversation.

Its stated goal is to get readers to rethink the idea of cannibalism by de-coupling it from the notion of “personhood and flesh.” In other words, these two academics, along with Newsweek and The Conversation, want readers to stop thinking about human flesh as being human at all, and pretend as though it doesn’t come from actual people.

If “we can’t silence our thoughts about the person [the meat] came from,” they claim, then this is simply a manifestation of our anti-cannibalism “bias” rearing its ugly head.

“For now,” these two authors insist that it’s okay to not embrace cannibalism because it isn’t yet a necessity. But in their mind, it one day could be, seeing as how “philosophers have argued that burying the dead could be wasteful in the context of the fight against world hunger.”

“… we’re as happy as you are to continue accepting the ‘wisdom of repugnance,’” they conclude, satisfied with at least having put the idea out there for people to chew on – no pun intended.

Washington Post columnist warns of need to ‘burn down the Republican Party’ to wipe out Trump supporters

By Nick Givas, FOX News, August 26, 2019:

Washington Post opinion writer Jennifer Rubin pushed for Americans to work together to “burn down the Republican party” in the hopes of extinguishing any trace of the enthusiasm for President Trump.

Rubin appeared on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” Sunday and said that not only does Trump have to lose in 2020, but there must be a purging of “survivors” who still support the commander-in-chief.

“It’s not only that Trump has to lose, but that all his enablers have to lose,” she said. “We have to collectively, in essence, burn down the Republican Party.”

“We have to level them because if there are survivors — if there are people who weather this storm, they will do it again.”

Rubin said if Republicans are victorious next November, they will see it as an affirmation of their beliefs, and only become further emboldened to push their radical views on society.

“They will take [an election win] as confirmation that, ‘Hey, it just pays to ride the waves. Look at me, I made it through,’” she said.

Rubin also claimed the country doesn’t want to shrink the federal government and would suffer if they tried to limit the size of America’s bureaucracy.

“Up and down the ticket, federal, state and local offices, the country has to repudiate this… This has become a dysfunctional anti-government party,” she said.

America changing for the worst?

Americans Under The Age Of 39 Have Completely Different Values Than The Generations That Came Before Them

by Michael Snyder

America’s values are shifting at a pace that is unlike anything that we have ever seen before.  During the 2020 election season, we are going to hear a lot about “the generation gap”, and the numbers clearly tell us that this gap is very, very real.  And as older generations of Americans slowly die off, it appears inevitable that the values that are dominant among younger generations of Americans are going to become the values of the country as a whole.  Essentially, “American values” are going to mean something completely different from what they meant to previous generations, and that should absolutely terrify all of us.

‘Tech witch hunt’: Here’s how 20 or more states plan to take on big tech

Audrey Coklin, DCNF

  • More than 20 states could be making a bipartisan effort to initiate an antitrust investigation into big tech companies.
  • The investigation would focus on companies such as Apple, Google and Facebook to determine whether they pose a threat to the U.S. economy if they grow into monopolies.
  • NetChoice Vice President Carl Szabo called the potential probe a “tech witch hunt,” and Reputation Management Consultants Chairman Eric Schiffer called it “giant politics.”

More than 20 states could be digging into big tech with a joint antitrust investigation.

WATCH VIDEO: California Public High School Students Sing Nazi Song and Give Hitler Salute

Contrary to enemedia claims that this is a “right-wing” phenomenon, this is the handiwork of the left. The left has normalized and mainstreamed Jew-hatred. The Jew-hatred of the media darlings on the left is flagrant and unapologetic. By celebrating Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, the Democrats have made Jew-hatred the hallmark of their party, and it’s easy to see why: the Democrat Party’s base is made up of Jew-haters. Barack Obama, himself a virulent Jew-hater, inundated this country with Muslim migrants, who brought Islamic Jew-hatred with him, and this Jew-hatred is spreading, as it was inevitably going to, to the general population.

On China, Trump is correct. Will the public be able to stand up under the pressure?

For whatever reasons, nefarious or stupid, prior administrations have failed the nation miserably on this issue. Consequently, the cost to correct this wrong has increased, but must be born.

Trump gut punches China in tariff war

President Donald Trump responded swiftly Friday to China raising tariffs on U.S. goods by ordering U.S. companies to stop conducting business in China, further raising tariffs on Chinese goods and slamming Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell for doing “nothing.”

Starting on October 1st, the 250 BILLION DOLLARS of goods and products from China, currently being taxed at 25%, will be taxed at 30%,” he announced via Twitter.

Additionally, the remaining 300 BILLION DOLLARS of goods and products from China, that was being taxed from September 1st at 10%, will now be taxed at 15%.”

The tweets were posted not long after the Chinese State Council announced new tariffs on U.S. goods.

“The Chinese State Council said it decided to slap tariffs ranging from 5% to 10% on $75 billion U.S. goods in two batches effective on Sept. 1 and Dec. 15,” CNBC reported. “It also said a 25% tariff will be imposed on U.S. cars and a 5% on auto parts and components, which will go into effect on Dec.15. China had paused these tariffs in April.”

In a statement, the council reportedly blamed the new tariffs on Trump.

“In response to the measures by the U.S., China was forced to take countermeasures,” the statement reads. “The Chinese side hopes that the U.S. will continue to follow the consensus of the Osaka meeting, return to the correct track of consultation and resolve differences, and work hard with China to end the goal of ending economic and trade frictions.”

Stocks and bond yields reportedly tumbled after the announcement. They tumbled further after the president responded with more tariffs.

But while most in the left-wing mainstream media responded to Friday’s events by spreading more conspiracy theories about an impending recession, one commentator urged the American people to examine the president’s history before rushing to conclusions.

A bad day or a bad week on Wall Street is not an indication that Trump’s policy is failing,” former Trump administration counsel Jim Schultz wrote for CNN.

Market volatility is neither a surprise nor a reason to head for the lifeboats. The markets are going to react and fluctuate as the United States and China go back and forth in trade negotiations.

Fact-check: TRUE.

Repeatedly during the past three years, markets have nosedived because of current news and then bounced back even stronger than before.

“Something had to be done to end China’s unfair practices, and rather than capitulate to the predictions of recession and calamity, we need to stay the course and continue to add tariffs to Chinese goods,” Schultz’s op-ed continues. “We as a nation simply cannot allow China to continue to have its way with our economy.”

Are China’s trade practices unfair, though? Yes, according to CNN’s Fareed Zakaria:

What remains unclear is whether the president’s strategy will ultimately prove successful. The results of his past trade wars suggest that yes, it will eventually spur China into bending the knee.

Thanks to mere tariff threats against Mexico, earlier this year the president successfully forced Mexican officials to agree to a historic deal to assist the federal government in curbing the flow of illegal aliens across the southern U.S. border.

In exchange for Trump rescinding the tariff threats, Mexico agreed it would “take unprecedented steps to increase enforcement to curb irregular migration, to include the deployment of its National Guard throughout Mexico, giving priority to its southern border,” according to a press release by the State Department.

“Mexico is also taking decisive action to dismantle human smuggling and trafficking organizations as well as their illicit financial and transportation networks. Additionally, the United States and Mexico commit to strengthen bilateral cooperation, including information sharing and coordinated actions to better protect and secure our common border.”

More notably, Mexico also agreed to accept all asylum seekers, including those who step foot inside the United States either legally or illegally.

As of now, however, China has shown no willingness to follow Mexico’s path.

In a statement issued Saturday through the nation’s official state newspaper, the People’s Daily, Chinese officials reportedly said they would continue the trade war with the Trump administration “until the end.”

“China will to defend the core interests of the country and the fundamental interests of the people is indestructible, and will not fear any challenge,” they reportedly said. “History will prove that the side on the path of fairness and justice will have the last laugh.”

It’s not clear whether they’re aware the Trump has a history of getting the last laugh.

Inverted Yield Curve Is Actually Bullish

by Michael Kahn

My favorite meme following last week’s yield curve inversion was captioned, “I survived the yield curve inversion.”

My favorite tweet (from @jfahmy) was, “The next Jobs Report should be very strong with the 50,000 “Yield Curve Experts” that were added this week.”

Last Wednesday, the day the Dow dropped 800 points, the yield curve inverted for a few hours. There is a lot to unpack in that sentence, so let’s get to it.

First, I have to briefly define what the heck a yield curve is so if you already know, skip the next three paragraphs.

DOJ to Supreme Court: Trump Had Every Right to End DACA

Supreme Court Steps Into Battle Between Religious Rights ...

In a legal brief to the Supreme Court on Monday, lawyers for the Department of Justice argued that President Donald Trump was well within his legal authority in 2017 when he signed an executive order bringing the Obama-era DACA program to an end. That order, which was immediately challenged by the left and put on ice by liberal courts, will be at the center of the Supreme Court’s docket when the justices return to the bench in November. A final decision on Trump’s authority to end the program should arrive next spring or summer.

Lest We Forget, From the Archives: The Clintons Directed Michael Cohen’s Testimony

How The Clintons Directed Michael Cohen To Plead Guilty & Implicate President Trump

Weeks earlier D.C. Whispers warned readers of Lanny Davis’s sudden appearance at the side of former Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen. (emphasis mine) Mr. Davis is a longtime Clinton operative and as recently as 2016 was helping to manage Hillary Clinton’s presidential run. His longstanding ties to the Clintons affords him strong ties with both the Democrat and Republican establishments, vast D.C. lobbying powers, and media moguls. In short, he is as Deep State as Deep State gets.

Now he’s using Michael Cohen to add manufactured fuel to the “get President Trump” fire as the Clintons sit back and watch and wait…
